Jaime Horsfall, LPC, CBIST

From a young age, I was drawn to those experiencing suffering. Lived experience of trauma and connecting with other survivors around the world created the desire not just to bear witness to those in pain but to offer up healing.

I moved to Denver in 2009 and received a Master's in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in International Disaster Psychology, from the University of Denver. I am a licensed professional counselor and certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer, and I hold a certificate in Traumatic Stress through the Trauma Research Foundation.

My therapeutic approach is centered around the client, offering deep listening, compassion, validation, and collaborative planning for the path ahead. I draw from a variety of techniques, including neuroscience, polyvagal theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness. My goal is to empower clients by helping them learn to trust themselves and providing them with practical tools for their everyday lives. I believe in the importance of a client's autonomy and aim for them to work with me for as long as they want, but for as little as they need to find lasting healing.
